Demonstration of gpSPhone and psx4iPhone emulators on iPhone 3Gs [Video]

The team at ZoDDt didn’t wait very long to release gpSPhone (GBA emulator) and psx4iPhone (PS1 emulator) updates making them fully functional on iPhone 3Gs.

Jailbreaking is a requirement to make these emulators work but the DEV-Team still haven’t published the version for iPhone 3Gs.

First reactions: more than positive. Powered by the new ARM Cortex 8 processor and the PowerVR SGX chipset, the iPhone 3Gs is capable of running gpSPhone at a minimum of 150FPS and at a maximum of 225FPS with a Frameskip of 0 (the iPhone 3Gs ran only at 60FPS…). ZoDDt even goes as far as comparing the iPhone 3Gs performance with that of the Pandora
