What’s new? Many bugs fixed, in particular the Zend Optimizer incompatibility (thanks to the debug_backtrace function…); we improved the performance for the archiving and the RSS feeds generation; we added the detection of Playstation 3 PS3, playstation portable PSP and Nintendo WII. We also updated the search engines listing to include the chinese baidu and many others. 6 languages have been updated (japanese, simplified chinese, bulgarian, lithuanian, croatian and italian).

We need your help to continue improving the software : give us your suggestions, bug reports, we need your feedback!

To organize the development, we need some assistance! Your feedback is like gold for us. You must have some ideas to improve phpMyVisites, suggestions on the existing user interface or ideas for new features. When you use phpMyVisites, there are maybe some details that you don’t really like, or that could be improved, or some missing features : share your ideas with us!

Giving his feedback has never been as easy as it is now! We have setup the feedback2.0 application (thanks to our partner feedback20.com) : the application is very simple to use ; you can vote for the ideas and suggestions, you can comment them, everything is fast and don’t need to register! Amazing isn’t it?

We also added a Donation page, because somes users requested it! :-)

We would love to see the users donate to either the MSF organisation, or the WWF. You will find more information on the donation page for phpMyVisites!

We fixed little bugs, you can see the changelog

- Updated romanian, taiwanese
- [christophe]Improved groups management GUI
- [christophe]Fixed password displayed when editing config
- Fixed bug when year archiving the first of the month
- Fixed bug in time display in visits, summary, pages, pdf
- Fixed bug in stats logging when visitor doesn't accept cookie

Now the PDF support is considered “stable” and fully fonctional. You can get your statistics in a PDF format for easier redistribution.

It is also much easier to set up permissions, groups, etc. Thanks to Christophe great work!

The version stable will be released October, 15 maximum.

The 2.2 branch is an important evolution : it is stable, mature, heavily tested on hundreds of configuration. It brings new notable features: statistics PDF export, Downloads trackings, external URLs and click tracking, many small improvements… and is available in 31 languages. We now have to spread the world with it! I fixed objectives for the future evolution: 500 downloads per day :-) Here is the evolution in the past. It goes back more than 3 years ago with the first beta0.1, and ends with the current 2.2rc1.

The objective is simple: multiply by 3 the number of downloads, and so the number of new users per day!

We think this is really possible, because phpMyVisites is worth it. And because we plan new features for the near future!

Pour les non geek, cela s’appelle un “podcast” et c’est une technique marketing en plein essor (de nombreux présidentiables se font ainsi interviewer par les grands noms de la blogosphère française, et tentent de montrer qu’ils sont “hype” et “branchés” ;-)).

Ce podcast était ma grande première, c’est un exercice intéressant ; encore une fois merci Skype.
