You might remember the portable L64 video game console which was no other than a Nintendo N64 portable. Jonjandran from the LumenLab forum has impressed us with the N64 miniature named the Darth 64 (small wink to Darth Vader since Jonjandran’s children thought the Darth 64 resembled the dark knight himself…).

After much research, Jonjandran chose the Lazer Doodle to be the base of his work.

A PS1 controller was used to integrate R1+R2 / L1+L2 buttons…

… a PSOne Portable screen replaced the original one…

… finally, two Game Cube controllers were used for the front buttons.

After sanding and painting it, the Darth 64 was ready for action.

The only thing left was to fit the N64 components in this new case.

As was the case for the L64, the result obtained was simply sublime in terms of ergonomics and the look of the final product.
